Cassiopea jellyfish

Cassiopea jellyfish
These jellyfish are nicknamed Upsidedown jellyfish because they basically live upside down. At first, they may appear to be a plant and look very similar to Queen Anne’s lace. They can be spotted in mangrove areas.

Cassiopea jellyfish

5 December 2020

We discovered these while exploring the waterway behind the Pullman resort. At first, we thought they were plants, but then we noticed a few of them swimming. Like their nickname Upsidedown jellyfish, they live upsidedown in the water. These were near a cluster of mangroves, which is a place they are often spotted.
