Cayo Coco is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches that stretch for 38 km along the northern coast of Cuba. The Atlantic Ocean is pristine, and the white, crushed seashell beaches go as far as the eye can see. This is a great tranquil environment perfect for sun basking travellers. We particularly enjoyed walking the endless sandbars during low tide. It gets pretty exciting when the tide comes in while on the sand bars so pay attention especially if you are carrying camera gear and the like. We learned first hand that E-readers are not as fond of the water as we are. Needless to say, we now own waterproof E-readers and we were gifted a travellers waterproof bag. Very handy!
