Jones Falls is a small nature area in Owen Sound with a 4.5km loop trail. You can get to the base of the falls by taking the footpaths on either side of the bridge. These are off the marked trail. Most of the area is wooded with cedar trees. Many spots have look offs that view the Pottawatomi Conservation Area. The Bruce Trail goes through this area.
There are lots of signs at the Falls. Most of the intersections are clearly marked. The trail is also flagged with spray paint and is easy to follow.
It is an easy walk to the falls. You can get to the base of them by taking the footpaths off the marked trails. These pictures were taken in August, so the Pottawatomi River was pretty low. It would look very different in springtime.
There are lots of interesting land features as you hike along the trails. Some of the trees are really old and gnarled looking. Most of the woodland is cedars.
The trails are pretty easy hiking.
The look offs are beautiful. These are also on the Bruce Trail.
