‘The Lake’ as it is fondly referred to it can be found by travelling east down the road that accesses Memories Jibacoa and Villa Tropico. I love that common names are used in Jibocoa. There is the ‘National Park‘, and ‘the Lake’. Portuguese Man-o-War are referred to as ‘jellyfish’. The lake seems like a nature reserve to me, there are lots of birds and waterfowl to be seen living there. You will also find some nonchalant cattle grazing. You can easily get to the lake by taking a wagon ride or a taxi. It is about 3.5 km away from the resorts so that is probably too far to walk for some of us.
