On the way back from Parque Escaleras de Jaruco (with Julio the Bird-watcher) we visited a farm out in the middle of seemingly nowhere. It was fun to see their goats and listen to their baby-like calls. We also got to see some huitia (Cuban rodent) which I had heard about but never seen up close. The farm was very interesting and an unexpected (but appreciated) part of the day.
Tamara and I keep bees back in Canada. It was awesome to see so many bees in Cuba. Some had hives in palm trees. At first we thought it was a swarm, but there is actually a hole in the tree. The farm we visited had a hive too!
